Chief Deputy Coroner Pat Kilpatric said a medical examination showed that the boy died either of pneumonia or carbon monoxide poisoning from an unvented gas heater.
The boy attended his eighth grade classes at San Lorenzo Valley school Monday and was waiting at the bus stop yesterday morning when he collapsed. He was taken home, said didn't feel well, and was put to bed.
Kilpatric said Mrs. Borodoolin, who also was ill discovered the death about 5 p.m. The death was confirmed by a doctor. Mrs. Borodoolin told Kilpatric she may have lost consciousness as the result of her illness during part of the day.

Larry Victor Borodoolin, 13, was found dead in his bed at Ben Lomond yesterday afternoon by his mother.
The medical examination showed no evidence of injury, but there was evidence of a type of pneumonia. Kilpatric said further tests will have to be made to determine if carbon monoxide from the heater was a factor in the death.
Young Borodoolin was a star scout member of Ben Lomond Scout troop 188 and the troop's scribe. He had lived in Ben Lomond for about 3½ years.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Borodoolin of Ben Lomond; a sister, Kathaleen who is a student at College of the Pacific, Stockton, and his grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Brannan of Ben Lomond.
