Her favorite sports teams were The Raiders, The Jazz, The Lakers, and The Montana Grizzlies. She loved Hallmark movies, her local meteorologists, word searches, and red vine licorice.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Debbie Ashley and Jerolyn LaFromboise, her sisters Nadine Doney and Bernice Ridnour, and her brother Donald Doney.
Lois is survived by her husband William Ashley, her children Dale Schiele (Pam), Rhonda Hogan, and Barbara Hill (Dwayne), and William Bryan Ashley, her grandchildren Codi Van Ness (Rodrick), Rhiannon Meyers, Bryan Schiele (Sharilyn), Angela Meyers, Brittany Flores (Jose), Tiffany Ruiz (Sammy), Iain Hogan, Michelle Moody (Andrew), Sean Schaefer and Heather Hill, and her seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Friday, October 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Dale Schiele officiating.2

She is survived by five sons, Angus and Melvin Doney, Missoula; Fred, Arlee; George, Polson; and Robert, Anaconda; three daughters, Mrs William Phelps and Mrs Ethel Curry, both of Arlee, and Mrs Howard Kleinschmidt, San Bernadino, Calif; one sister, Mrs Arthur Steen, Missoula; two brothers, Edgar and Arthur York; both of Missoula; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Marsh, Powell & Livingston Chapel at 23 pm Monday. The Rev Richard Bennett will officiate and burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.11

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel. Burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.12

She was born in Scranton, Pa., July 13, 1875. From Pennsylvania she moved to Burlington in Montana in 1888 with her family. She lived there until 1910, when she moved to Missoula, where she has lived since. In 1892 she was married to Jabez Doney in Butte. He died Jan 31, 1921.
She was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Community Covenant Church.
She is survived by five sons, Angus and Melvin Doney, Missoula; Fred, Arlee; George, Polson; and Robert, Anaconda; three daughters, Mrs William Phelps and Mrs Ethel Curry, both of Arlee, and Mrs Howard Kleinschmidt, San Bernadino, Calif; one sister, Mrs Arthur Steen, Missoula; two brothers, Edgar and Arthur York; both of Missoula; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Marsh, Powell & Livingston Chapel at 23 pm Monday. The Rev Richard Bennett will officiate and burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.13

She was a member of the Arlee Methodist Church and was active in the Arlee senior citizen group.
Mrs Phelps is survived by three brothers, Melvon Doney, Missoula, Fred Doney, Arlee, and Robert Doney, Libbie; one sister, Mrs Leona Harrington, Huntington Beach, Calif; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel. Burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.14

She was born in Scranton, Pa., July 13, 1875. From Pennsylvania she moved to Burlington in Montana in 1888 with her family. She lived there until 1910, when she moved to Missoula, where she has lived since. In 1892 she was married to Jabez Doney in Butte. He died Jan 31, 1921.
She was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Community Covenant Church.
She is survived by five sons, Angus and Melvin Doney, Missoula; Fred, Arlee; George, Polson; and Robert, Anaconda; three daughters, Mrs William Phelps and Mrs Ethel Curry, both of Arlee, and Mrs Howard Kleinschmidt, San Bernadino, Calif; one sister, Mrs Arthur Steen, Missoula; two brothers, Edgar and Arthur York; both of Missoula; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Marsh, Powell & Livingston Chapel at 23 pm Monday. The Rev Richard Bennett will officiate and burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.19

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel. Burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.20

Harold was a skilled carpenter and also built log homes and swimming pools. Later in life he was known as “Montana Gold.” He had a karaoke system and played at many establishments around the area. He could always be depended on to sing and play for all family get togethers; music was a big part of his life. He was also an avid old car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring and showing old vehicles.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church all of his life. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Marie Ida Schiele; four children, Dale Schiele (Pam) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Rhonda Hogan of Tempe, Arizona, Barbara Hill (Dwayne) of Sweet-water, Texas, and Sandra Burby of Kalispell; two sisters, Delores David of Oregon and Sandra Noble of Kalispell; five brothers, Dennis Schiele, Larry Schiele and Stewarts Schiele of Ronan, Ronald Schiele of Washington, and Raymon Schiele of Eureka; son-in-law Jeff LaFromboise of Arlee; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by parents, Martin and Elsie Schiele; two sisters; Eileen Frazier and Donna Toelke, two brothers, Marvin Schiele and Norman Schiele; and a daughter, Jerilyn LaFromboise

Jerolyn Schiele LaFromboise, 52, of Arlee, MT, passed away on Thursday, August 27,2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeri was born on July 27, 1957 in Polson, MT, a daughter of Harold Schiele of Pablo and Lois Ashley of Pablo. Jeri was a special woman with a huge heart. She always put everyone else before herself. She was the glue that held everyone together and the voice of reason when you needed good advice. Jeri worked hard her whole life. She held many different jobs, from nurse's assistant to restaurant manager. In 1992 she started working for the US Postal Service, and was the rural carrier in Charlo until 2000 then she and her husband moved to Arlee, where she was the rural carrier there until the cancer forced her to quit in March of 2009.
Jeri had a soft spot for animals and loved to be out in the field with her horses, Little Boy, Maggie, and Cimmeron. They were a very special part of her life. She also had a rescue dog she named Orphan Annie that she found on her mail route and nursed back to health with no help at all from her jealous cat, Catrine. Jeri also loved to ride her Harley Davidson motorcycle alongside her husband Jeff. When she wasn't on her horses or her motorcycle she enjoyed baking, spending time with her family, and going to the Griz games and concerts.
Jeri is survived by the love of her life, Jeff LaFromboise of Arlee, her daughter Codi (Rod) VanNess of Polson, her mother and stepfather, Bill and Lois Ashley of Pablo, father and stepmother, Harold and Eda Schiele of Pablo, her brothers Dale (Pam) Schiele of Phoenix, Arizona, Billy Ashley of Pablo, her sisters, Rhonda Hogan of Chandler, Arizona, Barb (Dwayne) Hill of Sweetwater, TX, her brother in law, Lois Conrad (Maryellen) LaFromboise of Browning, Don (Elyse) LaFromboise of Butte, sister in law Lois Slater of Pablo, Lorna Morgan of Spokane, WA, Vicki LaFromboise of Bozeman, Lori (Dan) Harris of Tacoma, WA and Lori LaFromboise. She is also survived by her "other 2 kids", Angela (Chad) Cole, and Iain Hogan and many more nieces and nephews who were all very special to her, each in their own way.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Ashley, her beloved grandparents, George and Elva Doney and Martin and Elsie Schiele, her special aunt and uncle Bernice and Woody Ridnour and, her father in law, Robert LaFromboise, mother in law, Rose LaFromboise, her brother in laws, T.J., Steve, Roy and Robert LaFromboise, and her sister in law, Maryellen LaFromboise.
Our lives were all blessed to have Jeri in them. She made our lives rich with her kindness and love. WE WILL MISS YOU JERI. Rest well "Holy Horse Woman" – Natoyi-Ponoka-mitaa-ki.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009, 1:00 PM at the Jocko Valley Baptist Church in Arlee, MT with Rev. Kenny Prewett officiating. Pallbearers will be Dale Schiele, Billy Ashley, Rod VanNess, Chad Cole, Jason Matt and Don LaFromboise. Cremation will take place after the funeral services. He could always be depended on to sing and play for all family get togethers; music was a big part of his life. He was also an avid old car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring and showing old vehicles.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church all of his life. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Marie Ida Schiele; four children, Dale Schiele (Pam) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Rhonda Hogan of Tempe, Arizona, Barbara Hill (Dwayne) of Sweet-water, Texas, and Sandra Burby of Kalispell; two sisters, Delores David of Oregon and Sandra Noble of Kalispell; five brothers, Dennis Schiele, Larry Schiele and Stewarts Schiele of Ronan, Ronald Schiele of Washington, and Raymon Schiele of Eureka; son-in-law Jeff LaFromboise of Arlee; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
