(Mentioned) oObitJune 2014 He was mentioned in the obituary of Lois Ann McFarlane in June 2014; Lois McFarlane Smith, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2014. She was born on February 28, 1929 to Peter William and Sarah May McFarlane in Ogden, Utah.
She married Leo Don Smith on August 8, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. They were the parents of five sons, Rodger (Beth Ann), Leslie (Sheryl), Thomas (Jeaneen), David (deceased), and Clint.
Mom lived in Ogden most of her 85 years. Lois had a very successful career at the Internal Revenue Service, retiring after 30 years as a Division Manager, and earning the Department of Treasury Gallatin Award. She served on the Board of Directors of the Red Cross for many years.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and travel.
Lois is survived by her loving husband, four sons, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who loved and admired her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her infant son, David, and grandson, Travis.
At her request an intimate family Graveside service and viewing was held on June 12, 2014.3
Death*11 June 2016 Thomas Neil Smith died on 11 June 2016 at Farr West, Weber County, Utah, at age 62.2
oObit  Thomas Neil Smith, 62, of Farr West, Utah, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on June 11, 2016 from glioblastoma (brain cancer). Through his fight, Tom showed courage, dignity, and faith.
Tom is the third of five sons, Roger (Beth Ann), of North Ogden, Les (Cheryl), of WA, David (deceased), and Clint, of Ogden, born to Don and Lois Smith on December 30, 1953. Tom grew up in Ogden, where he loved being outdoors, hunting with his dad and brothers, and he loved making the mountains his playground. Tom graduated from Ben Lomond High School and later Weber State University.
Tom is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Tom has four children: Marc Smith, of Ogden, Katie (Travis) Dodge, of Saint Anthony, ID, Bridget Smith (Tyrel), of Afton, WY, and Mandee Smith of Saint Anthony, ID; and five grandkids.
In 2002 Tom married the love of his life, Jeaneen Warner and happily gained five more children: Jared (Lynette) Warner, of West Warren, Melissa (Russell) Olson, of Farr West, Carrie (Semisi) Moeakiola, of Plain City, Robert (Sandy) Warner, of Perry, and Emily (Brandon) Crezee, of Pleasant View.
Together the couple has 27 grandchildren who love and admire him so much. They were never surprised by his joking antics with making up words such as "eleventy seven" or "twelvety twelve."
Tom worked at Arrow Dynamics for over 20 years, designing and building roller coasters and then continued his expertise at Hill Air Force Base doing Composite Flight Repair. If anything needed fixed, everyone knew they could call Tom. Tom was so loved and well respected by all his co-workers over the years.
Tom's passion was being outdoors and doing anything in the mountains from snowmobiling to riding the Commander. He rode snowmobiles for the majority of his life and knew Monte Cristo like the back of his hand. He was a great contributor to Search and Rescue and loved hunting, fishing, and exploring. He was an expert survivalist and was at his happiest when he was teaching and sharing his knowledge with kids and grandkids. Tom was everyone's go-to person and will be dearly missed by so many.
Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Lois Smith; and little brother, David Smith.
He was an amazing and kind husband, father, grandfather and friend who was always willing to help anyone. Tom made lasting impressions with everyone he met. He is now free to "Ride On."

My beloved husband, our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather died on December 30, 2009 due to an un-successful fight with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was born in Ogden, Utah to Joseph William and Eleanor MacFarlane Evertsen. He was one of five children; Nancy, Joseph and twins, Mary and Ricky. Dave met the love of his life, Cherry Turner while working at the Capitol Theatre. Dave joined the Army Reserves and was shipped to Fort Ord for basic training. He served six years in the Army Reserves. After a long distance courtship, Cherry and David were married April 8, 1961. From that union came three incredible children, Kristie Dawn Bridge (Todd), Darci Rae Kendrick (Robert) and Gavin Dave Evertsen, eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Dave was a salesman for nearly 45 years, selling cookies and snack foods to convenient stores across the Wasatch front. We were blessed in his passing as he was surrounded by his children and wife, prayers and tears pouring over him, as he ascended into the arms of God. He is at peace now. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 5th, with a social gathering at 11:00 a.m. and the services at 12:00 noon at Garner Funeral Home/Salt Lake Mausoleum, 1001 11th Ave., SLC. We want to thank the wonderful cancer team who were with Dave from the beginning; Dr. Elizabeth Prystas, Wasatch Hematology/ Oncology and her incredible Staff, Dr. Julie Asch and Dr. Finn Petersen, Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant and their wonderful staff. This death experience would not have been as beautiful and profound without the help of CNS Hospice, especially the nursing care of Barbara and Jennifer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Dave's memory to the Huntsman Cancer Research Institute. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.garnerfuneral.com

oObit*  Cherryle Dawn Evertsen, 1942- 2022, Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother passed into the arms of her sweetheart, David Evertsen, on November 21, 2022, from heart failure. She leaves behind a legacy of 3 children, Kristie (Todd) Bridge, Darci (Bob) Kendrick, and Gavin Evertsen, 8 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren. Cherryle (aka Cherry & CherBear) loved her family more than anything. She lived for them. She spent many of her years working at the Hotel Utah in the banquet department as a server and then manager. In her later years she was an avid volunteer at Red Butte Garden, oftentimes winning yearly volunteer awards due to her dedication. She had a love for the community and a passion for gardening. She also volunteered at Museum of Natural History, Capitol Theatre, Utah Symphony, and Eccles Theatre. She loved serving first in the Rose Park 29th ward, and later in the Rose Park 9th ward.
She was adventurous, traveling domestic and internationally and has many fridge magnets to show for it! She also loved her many years at Bear Lake with family, and traveling to Vashon Island, Washington.
We will miss her big happy smile, spunk, and humor. She very much enjoyed being in community and the many circles where she inserted herself showed her passion for connection.
She had a weakness for popcorn, had great fashion sense, and adored Winnie the Pooh.5
