Tina was born to the late Gilbert Montano and Shirley (the late Edward) Thorsted on October 31, 1955.
She loved with all her heart, she learned with all her heart, teaching those she loved all she learned.
Tina was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had unwavering faith in the living gospel of Jesus Christ. Tina loved the gospel, lived by its teachings and had a solid testimony, to all around her. She worked hard to overcome adversities as she had a learning disability. Earning a Master's Degree while working a fulltime job was no small feat; however she knew how important it was to overcome these adversities.
In 1979, she married Paul Riewold in Sacramento, California. On July 31, 1989, Tina's dream of becoming a mother came true and gave birth to her only child, Brett. Tina and Paul later divorced and Tina moved with Brett in tow to live closer to her sister, Diana, in Logan, Utah, where the sisters built homes next door to each other.
Tina was a Third Grade Teacher at Woodruff Elementary. She loved each and every one of her children and taught all of her children including those with disabilities.
Tina will be greatly missed by all those lives she touched.
Tina is survived by the love of her life; her son Brett; her mother, Shirley Thorstead; her stepmother, Lorna Montano, Laton, UT; sisters, Diana (Richard) Draper, North Logan, UT; Kerri (Doug) Kendall, Medford, OR; Klli (Tom) Shropshire, Sacto, CA; Cindy (Todd) Heinzi, Riverton, UT; Robin (Lawrence) Gueths, Citrus Heights, CA, Rebecca (Michael) Jenson, Bluffdale, UT; Patricia (Troy) Sugihara, South Ogden, UT, Thomas Montano, Colleyville, TX; Steven (Misti) Montana, Syracuse, UT; Levi Montano, Layton, UT; and Angele (Sean) McElRoy, Draper, UT; with many cherished nieces and nephews.
